# Set up Social Proof

This page makes notifications able to show. The sentences visitors read are [Social Proof templates](https://www.saasco.com/docs/social-proof/templates.md). Notifications stay empty until a template exists.

## 1. Use the Saasco MCP

If Saasco is not connected, read https://www.saasco.com/docs/mcp.mdx and follow the steps for this client. Sign in, allowing "Create and change data in your projects". Search with `saasco_search_tools`, then run the tool with `saasco_execute_tool`.

Pass project id `YOUR-PROJECT-ID`. On a connection scoped with `?projectId=`, omit `projectId`.

## 2. SDK, then the switch

If this repo does not call `saasco.init()`, follow [Setup for coding agents](https://www.saasco.com/docs/sdk/agents.md) first. Notifications are built from events the SDK sends.

Call `socialProof_getSocialProofEnabled`. Ask before turning notifications on. That is `socialProof_updateSocialProofEnabled` with `enabled` true.

Then follow [Social Proof templates](https://www.saasco.com/docs/social-proof/templates.md). Tell them a page with `?saasco_notifications=test` shows the feed even when events are quiet.
