# Delete Type

DELETE /api/v2/projects/{projectId}/crm/notification-types/{notificationTypeId}

Deletes a notification type along with every contact preference recorded against it. Contacts who had opted out of this category lose that record, so recreating the type later starts everyone from the default. Returns `false` instead of an error status if the delete fails. Cannot be undone.

## Request

- projectId: string, path, required — ID of the project that owns the notification type.
- notificationTypeId: string, path, required — ID of the notification type to delete.

## Response

- 401: Authorization not provided
- 403: Insufficient access
- 404: Not found
- 500: Internal server error
