# Set Help Center Custom Domain

POST /api/v2/projects/{projectId}/knowledge/help-center/domain

Points a hostname you own at the project's help center. The domain is registered with the hosting layer and the DNS records you need to add are returned on the help center as `customDomainVerificationDNS`. It does not serve traffic until DNS is in place and Verify Help Center Custom Domain reports success. Setting a new domain replaces any existing one, and a hostname already claimed by another help center is rejected with 409.

## Request

- projectId: string, path, required — ID of the project that owns the help center.
- domain: string, required — Hostname to serve the help center from, e.g. `help.example.com`. Supply the bare hostname without a scheme or trailing slash.
