# List Public Collections

GET /api/v2/knowledge/help-centers/{helpCenterId}/collections

The reader-facing navigation tree for a help center: collections with their nested children and published public articles only. Nested articles omit body, description, and reaction counts. Public and unauthenticated, so it is safe to call from a help-center front end.

## Request

- helpCenterId: string, path, required — ID of the help center whose collections to list.
- parentId: string, query — Only return children of this collection. Pass `null` for top-level collections; omit for all of them.

## Response

- 200: Successful response
- 400: Invalid input data
- 401: Authorization not provided
- 403: Insufficient access
- 404: Not found
- 500: Internal server error
