# Delete Collection

DELETE /api/v2/projects/{projectId}/knowledge/collections/{id}

Deletes a collection. Articles in that collection are not deleted. They are unlinked, which drops them out of help-center navigation while leaving the content intact. Sub-collections are not deleted. They move up to this collection's parent, or to the top level when it had none, and their articles stay in those sub-collections. Idempotent: deleting a collection that does not exist still returns `true`.

## Request

- projectId: string, path, required — ID of the project that owns the collection.
- id: string, path, required — ID of the collection to delete.

## Response

- 200: Successful response
- 400: Invalid input data
- 401: Authorization not provided
- 403: Insufficient access
- 404: Not found
- 500: Internal server error
